A young girl dies in Nepal, of burns when a boy she was in relationship with, threw acids on her face. The incident has happened in the month when people around the world are preparing celebrations of Valentines.
VIctim, Tulasa Sapkota, a resident of Gaindakot – 5 Nawalparasi, was with Sunil Koirala at a hotel in Butwal when the incident happened.
Staffs of the Hotel Meridian at Butwal-6 rescued her around Sunday midnight when they heard her screaming in pain.
She was rushed to Universal College of Medical Sciences in Bhairahawa after she was given primary treatment in Lumbini Zonal Hospital Butwal. As severe burns all over her body parts couldn’t be treated even at Bhairahawa, she was refered to Nepal Burn Center in Kathmandu en route to which she died.
Her reported lover Sunil, who was immediately held hostage by the hotel staffs was handed over to Butwal Police.
28 years old resident of Naibise – 1 – Dhading, Sunil has accepted the charges. The preliminary reports on police investigation suggest that Sunil’s doubt about Tulasa cheating on him as the reason behind attack.
Speaking to Nepal Reports, Mukunda Marasini, the DSP of Butwal Police said the investigation is underway. It is reported that they were living together for past 3 years while in abroad.
